Binders Full of Bugs (3/17/2013)

Today did not go exactly as planned. Jenn and I arrived at the field site early in the morning to collect all the sticky traps, then planned to meet Ivana later on to do some beating and sweeping.  We managed to collect all the sticky traps from the east side and put sticky traps on the trees that were skipped on Friday. We drove over to the west side in order to start collecting traps there. A man from the surrounding ag fields came over to tell us that they were about to spray and we had to leave. Lo and behold the crop dusting plane flew over as we were driving away. We can return Monday, but we’re a bit behind on work now. It will just take some rescheduling, but we’ll make it happen! Just consider the field work a mental break from studying for finals!
